Aging Skin and Personal Care Products

As we age, our skin loses elasticity and firmness. Menopause, other factors of natural aging, overexposure to the sun and lifestyle choices, such as smoking, contribute to the aging of our skin. Using chemical personal care products, already those which are most expensive, contribute to this aged turn up. Personal care products sold in stores are over ninety percent water. This water is not pure water- it is plain old tap water, complete with pharmaceuticals that have leached in, chlorine for purification, fluoride for protection of teeth, and already chemical pesticides and fertilizers! elements which started out as natural, such as oatmeal, are destroyed by the manufacturing course of action, where chemical after chemical is additional, thereby negating the effects of the oatmeal. These beauty products are not regulated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Why would anyone want to put something on their delicate confront that contained impure elements? The simple answer is they would not, if they only knew what was in the products they use on their skin.

We have established the ratio of water to actual elements in the beauty products sold across counters everywhere. Did you also know that most of the elements, such as dioxane and formaldehyde, are chemicals that are either known or suspected toxins, already carcinogenic? Did you know that some of the chemicals in personal care products are known to cause cancer in test animals? already companies that claim their product is never tested on animals use data gleaned from other companies in the industry, to see how much of each chemical they can use without causing apparent harm. The simple fact is, that there are no conclusive studies to tell us how much of a chemical is safe at any level, for prolonged exposure.

We cannot stop time, aging is a fact of life. We can, however, slow the aging course of action of our skin. This begins with proper nourishment of the skin, both by good diet and lifestyle choices, and by what we put on our skin. Our amazing skin absorbs sixty percent of what we put on it, including water, soaps and perfumes, and already dyes! Harsh chemical products dry the skin, thereby causing it to look and be thinner, older. Pure natural products that do not contain chemicals, only certified organic and natural elements, processed minimally and without harsh manufacturing methods that change its composition, are the best topical nourishment we can give.

Chemicals hide under innocent- sounding names on labels, or by names that only a chemist would understand. Use only the best natural organic products on your delicate confront, especially around the eyes, where skin is thinnest. Choose products carefully, use only those that do not contain water. These products allow a higher concentration of safe, chemical and pesticide-free elements. These are the products you want to nourish from the outside in, to help skin retain elasticity and firmness. Be kind to your skin as you age, and it will return your investment by aging much slower, and allowing you to keep your youthful glow.
