Week seven of The Great British Bake Off saw the six remaining contestants make a variety of caramel-based sweet treats but it didn’t go to plan for everyone
The Great British Bake Off came to a sticky end on Tuesday evening as George became the latest contestant to be sent home.
The seventh episode of the 2021 series saw the remaining six bakers tackle caramel week, and it certainly wasn’t easy.
Bake Off Judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith asked the group to make typical caramel tarts in addition as 10 identical caramel biscuit bars in the technical challenge.
George, Lizzie, Crystelle, Giuseppe, Jurgen and Chigs all faced their own difficulties as they got to work in the famous tent.
However, George failed to impress Paul and Prue with his showstopper creation and despite it being a close call, great number Matt Lucas announced that he would be heading home.
