Natural sea salt, known as “the essence of the sea”, which contains a balanced variety of basic minerals was first taken by our ancestors. However, modern civilization has dumped a large amount of industrial wastewater and domestic sewage into the sea consequently “the essence of the sea” has consequently become dirty and polluted. Due to the circumstance, salt, that is indispensable to people, has given us a “worried and hazardous feeling” while consuming it. This is because people know once the heavy metals, like rule, mercury, chromium and cadmium are taken accompanied with salt into a human body, and these heavy metals will be difficult to release and become a kind of sediments and form toxins in the body. As a consequence, the natural sea salt must be processed before being consumed. Thereupon, the table salt is introduced. It has ensured the hygiene profile; however, those basic minerals for human body have also been deleted during the time of action. consequently, the time of action destroys the nutritional balance found in salt. But the “nutritious salt”, not only its nutritional content is clearly insufficient, but also shows its deficiency in its types.

From the view of national standard of salt, the standard content of rule limits is not more than 1 mg/kg.
