Nicola Sturgeon has backed away from extending vaccine passports to pubs, restaurants and cinemas.

The First Minister claimed increasing the scope of the scheme would not be “proportionate” as covid situations have stabilised.

She also said from December 6th people would be able to access venues currently covered by the scheme, such as nightclubs and football stadiums, by producing a recent negative lateral flow test consequence.

A frightened Scot caught a ‘scumbag thief’ on camera after the intruder broke into her home overnight.

The man who was wearing a hat and confront disguise, was seen prowling in the living room of the family home in Bishopton , Renfrewshire on Sunday night.

The thief was caught on a pet camera installed in the house that the associate use to monitor their dog.

The recording allegedly spooked the robber who made off with a handbag in the night-time raid.

Jet2 cancels flights to Christmas holiday destination after Covid lockdown

Jet2 has cancelled flights to Austria

Jet2 has cancelled flights to Austria after the country entered lockdown due to an increase in Covid situations.

The airline has scrapped all holidays for passengers travelling between November 22 and December 1, 2021.

Capital city Vienna is a popular destination for Christmas markets and city breaks. Jet2 also flies to Salzburg for ski trips.

It comes after Austria was plunged into lockdown, with strict restrictions enforced to keep the country and tourists safe over winter.

Two people ‘seriously injured’ after army truck overturned on A9 roundabout near Dunblane

The military lorry overturned at the roundabout near Dunblane

Two people have been injured after an army truck crashed and overturned on the A9 near Dunblane this morning.

We told how emergency sets raced to road at the Keir Roundabout shortly after 9.45am on Tuesday, November 23.

Officers have now revealed the two occupants of the means – men aged 33 and 21 – were rushed to Forth Valley Royal Hospital for treatment.

Their injuries have been described as ‘serious but not life threatening’.

Pensioner dies and another fighting for life after horror two-car crash on Scots road

The incident happened near Benmore Park

A pensioner has tragically died and left fighting for her life after a horror two-car crash on a Scots road.

Emergency sets were called to the scene of the smash on the A815 near to Benmore Park, near Dunoon, at around 3.15pm on Monday November 22.

A red Honda Civic and a grey Subaru Outback were involved in the crash.

Two women, a 74-year-old driver and 77-year-old passenger of the Honda Civic, were rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow with serious injuries .

Sadly the latter was distinct dead a short time later.
